Floating Leaf Canoes also make other items of equipment specifically for the open canoeist. Made in small batches in our workshop, we have developed them because we want to use them ourselves, and can find none better.

The Floating Leaf Canoes Folding Seat:- This lighweight wooden seat folds flat for stowing (pairs interlock), and opens to provide a seat and backrest, contoured to give a sensible low sitting position with legs forward. Ideal for the paddler or passenger for whom kneeling is a problem, for long leisurely excursions, or for an on-the-move rest. These seats will fit any canoe, simply located on the floor, in front of a thwart - they can also be used on-shore! Amazingly comfortable!
The Floating Leaf Canoes Tow Rope:- This item is essential for any canoe outfit and is a boon to guides and instructors, for its neatness and effectiveness. The floating rope is easily folded into its pack which stows very tidily on the gunwales. Clipping the line from your boat to the towed boat is all that is required when in use, as the rope will automatically and reliably unfold as tension is applied. A snaplink, float and shock absorber are incorporated as standard.
The Floating Leaf Canoes Pole:- This is a securely socketed two piece aluminium pole, with carbon fibre insert, which is rigid and will float. The ends are uniquely tipped with a stone and epoxy plug, which is obviously hard wearing, but also biases the weight of the pole nicely, so that it plunges swiftly when in use. Length and split bias is your choice.
The Floating Leaf Canoes Paddle Bag:- This bag will take a number of paddles, and a two piece pole. Its virtue is that it is of open mesh construction, which although very hardwearing, will drain completely and instantly, and will allow full ventilation of equipment when stored. Again, the final dimensions can be to your specifications.
